Up to the minute and breaking news for the team is that long term 4wd TV supporter Black Widow has just signed on with YOUR4X4 as a Naming Rights Partner.

Series two, starting Feb 15, is set to bring a fresh wave of 4x4 trips and destinations to the growing YOUR4X4 audience and one recent adventure found Danny and Simon literally knee deep in the sticky stuff as they drove, filmed and recovered two well set up street legal 4x4s through the Malaysian Jungle just north of Kuala Lumpur.

The Boys certainly put their quick wash and dry Amphibian gear to the test and learnt first hand the joys and challenges of this leech infested tropical wetland that is a drawcard for adventurous 4wd enthusiasts. During the same episode the boys speak with expat David Stewart about the local 4wd scene including an interesting trip to a suburban workshop before heading out to take on the revered Malaysian Jungle.

Tune in to see the YOUR4X4 Boys dragging the winch cable through the mud, taking on rocky highland rivers and relaxing at a mountain top waterfall where they are treated to a jungle fry up of noodles and pepper chicken.

Well not quite the sort of star treatment and pampering that the boys think they deserve, but... during Series 1 of YOUR4X4 and other episodes of 4wd TV Danny’s family wagon has experienced a healthy dose of rock rash, scrub scratch, bush bang and tree loving. To say the least, it was looking rather tired and was in dire need of some TLC. That’s when the 4wd TV team stepped in and nominated Danny for a full ‘Pimp’ 4wd makeover.

Danny’s ride has now been freshened up with paint and panel work courtesy of Geelong Smash Repairs and is set to see a healthy dose of 4x4 mods and accessories over the next few months. So keep an eye on Danny’s red 80 over Series 2 of YOUR4X4 and see if you notice the subtle transformation from beaten family wagon to pimped offroad weapon.

For something a little different this January the YOUR4X4 team will head to Berrima just south of Sydney to explore the 4wd opportunities around the Southern Highlands. Who knows we may even take a drive through the infamous Belanglo State Forest, the scene of well known Backpacker murders.

Mid September through to mid December will see the first series of YOUR4X4, including the two pilot episodes, repeated during the normal YOUR4X4 timeslots. Viewers get set for a taste of green!

Simon’s crazy 40 series Landcruiser has slithered out of the airbrush studio and is getting set for the National 4x4 Show in Melbourne. Taking on a life of it’s own this uniquely presented vehicle will soon return home to Victoria and will feature on both YOUR4X4 and 4wd TV.

Designed by Simon and built by the OnTrack 4wd Centre in Brisbane, this monster V8 creation will be a stand out attraction at the 4x4 show, on the TV shows and on the local tracks! Get to the National 4x4 show in Melbourne, first weekend of September, to see this reptilian beast up close and personal and be ware – it may even bite!
